29kts - 33kts test flight - photos

It was windy today, not the ideal conditions that I was after, however still worth a test to see how the plane would handle the 29kts-33kts winds. Like the other tests, today the plane was steady, however towards the end of the day it became really gusty and the sudden burst of gusts did manage to upset the balance, to be expected in 33kts winds!

The fast passes where something to see! I have never flown in wind this fast and gusty and the plane loved the down wind swoops. The best that I have managed in the past is 27-28kts with the Bee. However I wouldn't really call it flying as you are just trying to stay balanced enough to fly. I have finished designing the plans for the new fuselage and will be getting it cut soon. I am also hoping to make improvements with the ailerons. At the moment they are two balsa planks, I wish to taper these down to reduce the drag.
