- 27/05/07 First test flight at Mt Mee for new prototype
Managed to get a break in the weather over the weekend to test out the new OzPrey up at Mt Mee. Mt Mee is a great location due to the amount of lift that is produced. The massive height that you can climb to gives you a great opportunity to test out the top speed in insane nose dives. It's always hard to measure but I could really see the difference between the two prototypes.
I know it’s only 5 inches difference in the wing span, but that combined with the straighter leading edge and trailing edge, made for a beautiful afternoon flying. The reduce surface area of the wing also seemed to make the OzPrey quicker in the massive dives and quicker across the sky.
I’m at the point now of getting a small batch produced for anyone interested in buying the OzPrey. I already have the instructions developed and most of the supplies gathered. I’m hoping to have the plane ready in a month or two.
