Flying Stories 12/06/08 - Beutel's lookout

Authour: Gary Thornton

My name is Gary Thornton I am a member of the RSSF Club out of Redbank Plains. Jason Socombe and my self flew off Beutel's lookout
( near Hampton Ravensbourne National Park ) for the first time on Saturday last instead of our Laidley slope.

The wind promised was SE 25 knots not the best for Laidley its more along the slope than in your face. Beutel's faces East through South South East sounded like a good idea. After the cloud cleared about lunch we thought we were in for it, bummer !!!!! like eveybody west of Bris, No wind just confused zephyr's, nice afternoon flatening batterys and watching them sink.

Thought you might like a photo or two of Beutel's slope. I only found your site in the last couple of weeks. Its great enjoying it alot. Our photos are not a Multiplex add but these have been our first EPP aircraft. We are about to import a number of NCFM models out of the USA and hope to be into it with new wings well before Christmas.
